MoonBase Defender - Overview
MoonBase Defender is a fast paced, challenging arcade game.
Defend your base against marauding aliens and cascading meteorites.
You have only one goal... Defend Your Base! See how long you can stay alive. Below you'll find out more about the game, installing it and
running it.
Story
You are the commander of MoonBase Alpha. Your job is to defend this base at all costs from the marauding aliens of the planet Kron.
The Krons wish to use the Moon to attack the Earth and take it over. So they are sending many advanced spaceships to destroy you.
But instead of just spaceships, they have also harnessed the power of the Cosmos to defeat you. Their scientists have discovered a way to materialize asteroid and meteor showers at will!
You must not only destroy their ships, you must also destroy the asteroids... if you can.
It's a dual threat and you have the weapons to deal with it. But do you have the skills to launch your weapons quickly and accurately enough to save yourself and defeat the Krons?

Main MenuStart:
Starts a fresh
new game
Game Over MenuRestart:
Starts a fresh

Exit:
Exits the game and
returns you to Windows. You can also exit the game anytime by pressing the button immediately above the d-pad joystick.
Reset Score:
Press this button to reset the high score to zero.
In-Game OptionsPause:
Pressing the center joystick/start button pauses the game.
Resume:
Pressing the center joystick/start button takes
you back to the game where you left
off.
Music:
For now there is no volume control but subsequent releases will have one.
Weapon Control
Launching:You launch missiles by tapping the screen at the altitude where you want your missile to explode. This makes missiles explode in an air burst fashion something like a reverse depth charge. It launches your missile ONLY IF you have no other missiles in the air at that moment.
Aiming: Your best bet is to aim your missiles at a point where you expect your target to be. NOT where it is at the moment. For this reason, tapping on targets will NOT fire the missile.
Gameplay And Scoring:Your goal is to destroy as many Kron spaceships as possible while simultaneously destroying all the asteroids that threaten your Moon base.
Asteroids inflict the heaviest damage but only score 25 points each. This is because there are lots of them and they are easy to destroy.
Spaceships are the most potent threat because even though they inflict less damage, they are intelligently manned and piloted. Kron ships are fast, agile and unpredictable in their movements. They keep up a steady fire with their photon torpedos and if you don't destory them quickly, they will soon reduce your base to rubble. You will lose the battle, end the game and your MoonBase will become a staging area for the invasion of the Earth.
Because they are formidable opponents, hits on Kron ships are scored as 150 points. When you destroy a Kron you are bonused 300 points and your base is given a health bonus. This is crucial to your survival and will result in longer gameplay and the best scores.
Bottom Line: Focus on destroying enemy spacecraft.
